Integrated effects of auxeticity and pyro-coupling on the nonlinear static behaviour of magneto-electro-elastic sandwich plates subjected to multi-field interactive loads

This work presents a detailed investigation of the effect auxeticity synergised with pyro-coupling behaviour multiphase magneto-electro-elastic (M-MEE) composites using finite element (FE) framework. The nonlinear deflection and bending problems sandwich plates auxetic core M-MEE skins subjected to multi-physics load (electric, magnetic thermal) are probed. plate kinematics is governed by Reddy’s higher-order shear deformation theory (HSDT). relation between strains displacements established through von-Karman’s relations. temperature profiles considered linearly nonlinearly varying across thickness plate. Various parametric studies presented in this article highlight influence cell inclination angle, rib-length ratio, rib thickness, plate-to-core ratio etc., associated on plates. results reveal that deflection, degree significantly depend unit dimensions magnitude electro-magnetic loads. significant witnessed at lower angle. deflections hence potentials developed tend improve values thickness. prominent outcomes related integrated effects not yet reported open literature deemed be utilised as future reference.
